Participating in Parish Activities......... |
|
|
Parish Life is organized around a leadership council and committees. Parish Life is more vital when a greater number of parishioners are involved and assume responsibility for all ministries. The commitment for Parish committees and activities ranges in time and involvement level. There is an activity to suit all schedules. If you are interested in volunteering for a committee or parish activity (or obtaining more information). Please contact Father or the Parish Office. They will put you in contact with the appropriate chairperson. The Parish is always looking for people to provide a variety of activities that contribute to the vitality of our Parish community. The activities and committees on this web page are not all inclusive. If you are interested in starting an activity, you are encouraged to contact Father or the Parish Council Chairperson.

Bishops' Fund The
Bishops' Fund is the annual fund-raiser to support human services, educational
programs and pastoral support to Catholics and non-Catholics throughout
Worcester County. The first Sunday in May has traditionally been "Bishops'
Fund" Sunday. There are 50-60 parishioners who contact and collect
contributions. The coordination of collection activities is provided by a
chairperson and co-chairperson. (The chairperson is a one time commitment, with
the co-chair assuming chair cuties the following year.). For more information contact the

Liturgical
Ministries Parish
Life is more vital when parishioners participate and assume responsibility
for ministries and activities of the Church. The Liturgical Ministers are
the people you see during Mass and behind the scenes. These people server
as Ushers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors and care for the Altar. Ushers
minister hospitality by welcoming people to the community of St. Anne's.
Eucharistic Ministers server Communion to the congregation. Lectors
proclaim the daily readings and lead the Prayer Litany. Other serve as
altar sacristans and provide clean linens and floral decorations.

Pre-school
Children's Nursery![]() This program was originally started to allow parents to worship at Mass. In the past, Parish teens have provided baby-sitting services in the Parish hall during the 9:30 AM Mass. This program could be restarted if there are families who wish to use the Nursery and volunteers interested in coordinating the activity.

Progressive
Dinner The
Parish has initiated the Progressive Dinner to foster Parish relations and
social opportunities. Traditionally held in the Spring, a number of
families volunteer to act as hosts for a portion of a dinner. This
includes hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, a main course and dessert. This event
has been a success over the past several years and an opportunity for
people (singles or couples) in the Parish to mingle and meet each other.
